Student Intern Positions Open in GLBTA Programs Office
Note: Position Closing Soon - Last Day to Apply is Tues, Sept 7!
The GLBTA Programs Office is currently hiring Student Work-Study Interns for 2010-11. The responsibilities of these fun, flexible positions include communications, outreach, clerical duties, and assistance with planning and delivery of programs/events.
Requirements include having work-study funds, the ability to work 8-12 hrs/week, strong communication and multi-tasking skills, and a commitment to working on GLBTA issues within a social, economic and racial justice framework. Download a full position description here (Word doc).

GLBTA Student Leadership Retreat 2010
September 24-26, 2010

The 5th Annual GLBTA Student Leadership Retreat is an opportunity for student leaders on all five University of Minnesota campuses to learn about leadership development, small group facilitation skills, action planning, and explore intersecting identities and oppressions through a social justice lens. It's a great way to make new friends, meet new people, and gain skills to make our campuses more welcoming and affirming for everyone!
The retreat is FREE (all lodging, meals and transportation covered) and open to all U of MN students interested in creating change for GLBTA communities on their campuses in Crookston, Duluth, Morris, Rochester, and the Twin Cities.
